Founder and

Managing Director

After the experience of helping care for my elderly grandparents I thought there had to be an easier way to work together as a family unit to manage all the tasks that needed doing.

That's when I came up with the idea for Cura HQ.

We quickly won a grant from the charity Unltd, who manage the Millenium Fund to support Social Entrepreneurs and projects.

We built Cura HQ and it was a great success - winning the best use of technology for social good in 2013 and becoming accredited and included in the NHS trusted health apps library.

However our users wanted more, professional support. But many were often left frustrated that the communication with the professional agencies they employed was nowhere near as good as the expereince they had when working with their friends and family on Cura HQ.

That's when we had the idea for Cura Homecare - a care agency with brilliant communication at it's core.

My sister, Katie, has many years experience in the care industry, along with our Mum, Sue. So we had the experience and passion to turn Cura Homecare into a reality. But i'll let them tell you more about that...

Katie

Founder and

Director of Care

I have more than 13 years nursing experience which includes managing a large team supporting children with complex care needs in the community.

Through both my professional and personal experience caring for elderly grandparents I have learnt that finding the right care agancy is viatlly important when you are caring for a loved one.

Together with my brother Neil we strive to create a company that provides a high standard of care to people in the local area with a team that we would be more than happy to care for members of our own family.

Using our Cura technology we will be able to stay in direct contact with service users and their families which will improve communication and in turn improve the quality of care given by our team.
